I think it's about that time...
So, I'm gonna start taking commissions as a means to push the envelope in terms of keeping me drawing at all times and helping broaden my portfolio by way of you good people giving me ideas to create for you.
-- But Alex, how's it work?
Simple! You note me your commission request, and I agree or disagree to it (most likely with suggestions on how I could improve it), and we make sweet, sweet arts together!
-- How do I know it will be awesome?
Take a look at my gallery! If you like the stuff you see, chances are you're gonna like the end result of your commission! Also, feel free to point out a specific piece you like when informing me in what style you'd like to see your end result! (Within reason of course, I'm not trying to backtrack to high school work here )
-- So what kind of work can I ask for?
Hmm. Well, I suppose I should start out slow and get a bit of small time work under my feet before I know how to properly price full scale pages with text and backgrounds and such, so let's keep it simple: Characters only, for the time being, with the potential to have text if you are interested in, say, a character biography page! Or if you want a cool action pose of your favorite hero/villain, or perhaps just a simple bust or pinup of something sexy...I'm easy like Sun-Dee Mornin'!
-- I like it! Simple and fun! How much do you charge?
Excellent Question! Prices shall be as follows!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Digital Sketches:
-- Headshot - $8
-- Bust - $12
-- To-the-Hips: $15
-- Full Body - $20
Digital Line-Art:
-- Headshot - $15
-- Bust - $20
-- To-the-Hips - $25
-- Full Body - $30
Digital Full Colors: (This includes Line-Art)
-- Headshot - $25
-- Bust - $32
-- To-the-Hips - $38
-- Full Body - $45
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Again, let's be clear and say that this is, at the moment, a characters-only deal. if you would like to see something other than white behind them, let me know in the Note, and we will sort out the details there!
-- Is there anything you won't draw?
At the moment, I'm open to suggestions of all shapes and sizes, though I will say right now, I don't do anthro's very well. There are plenty of artists who excel at them anyway, so let's shoot for at least near-humans, okay? Also, while I am not opposed to mature themes (blood, sex, etc.), I am trying to maintain a profile of professionalism in all genres of the art world, and I don't want to be pigeonholed as "That guy who just draws __________." Other than that, send me your ideas and see what happens! you never know what I will and won't do unless you ask! (Also, I'm not opposed to drawing multiple characters doing an activity, as long as it doesn't involve a background for now!)
-- Sounds simple enough! Any chance I can see an example of the end results for each option?
An excellent idea! I'll make a mockup and post it soon, but feel free to start sending notes if you have ideas beforehand!
That about covers everything, I guess. Hope to hear from you all soon!

Absence and Livestreaming!
yeah, I know I haven't been doing much the last couple of weeks. Been a rough time looking for work, and it still is. Just finished a storyboard project, and that's only to see if I qualify for the job :P but I'm still here! Still arting away, and I figured I'd do something I haven't done in a while and share the moment with you guys! Streaming it up over on my live-stream, so come check it out!

M-For-Mature returning to my main DA Page!
After much debating and thinking about what to do now that college is just about officially done, I tried reflecting on things I'd done in the past that were really holding a lot of meaning for me, and I remembered that, by and large, the most fun I remember having was always on my video game-themed online comic strip series "M-For-Mature" which, derivative as it may have been, was still fun as hell to write and draw. I feel like I lost site of it somewhere between senior year and my struggle to find a steady day-job (Basically I just got too serious about life for my own good :P) and I just needed that semi-daily humor back in my life that

This is exciting news! At least one of us is finally getting into art as a source of income. Kudos!
